Moving Your Hot Tub

Moving a hot tub can be a challenging job without the right equipment and experience. Hot tubs are large, heavy and awkward to manoeuvre, which is why many people choose professionals when relocating their spa.

At Hot Tub Response we regularly move hot tubs for customers who are moving house, purchasing a second-hand spa, or simply repositioning their hot tub within their garden. Our experienced team has the equipment and knowledge needed to move your spa safely while helping to avoid damage to the tub or surrounding property.

Before a hot tub can be moved it must be fully drained and prepared for transport. Covers, steps and loose accessories should also be removed to ensure everything can be handled safely during the move.

Access & Positioning

Access is one of the most important things to consider when relocating a hot tub. In many cases the spa can be moved using specialist trolleys and moving equipment if there is sufficient space to manoeuvre it safely.

If access is restricted due to walls, fences or narrow pathways, alternative options such as lifting equipment or crane access may be required. This is quite common when moving hot tubs and helps ensure the spa can be relocated safely without causing damage to your property.

Once the hot tub reaches its new location it will be carefully positioned onto its base or installation area. It’s important that the spa sits on a solid, level foundation to ensure correct operation and long-term stability.
